to Editor, Toronto Star,
Dear Sir:
Harper's enthusiasm for a government that continues to actively engage in crimes against humanity and innumerable violations of international humanitarian law was translated into brutish action by his security force when visiting the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, in occupied Palestinian territory. When one of the seven authorized Palestinian journalists tried to film the Canadians in the church, Harper's guards roughed up the journalists and assaulted one of them. The Canadian embassy has so far refused to offer any apology to the Palestinian Union of Journalists, adding further to our government's boorish behaviour. Harper's Holy Land adventure shames all Canadians.
